Our flagship summer program is MedSTEMPowered’s hallmark and most eagerly awaited event. Designed for high school, undergraduate, and non-traditional students interested in pursuing a career in STEM and Medicine, each year we welcome several hundred of our best and brightest students across the globe to learn about medicine and STEM firsthand.
Since 2020, we have hosted ELEVEN programs live (6 summer programs and 5 winter), which have seen 3600+ live participants.
For many participants, it is their first experience to learn about the future careers that await them in medicine and STEM, and their first shadowing and research opportunities. We hope to empower each participant so that they have the resources they need to achieve their goals!
Our Future M.D.s+ in STEM Summer Program
What our summer programs provide:
✓ 8+ hours of interactive virtual shadowing
✓ 8 live medical, STEM, and research workshops taught by experienced undergraduate/graduate, and medical students
✓ Medical and STEM-based interactives (debates, discussions, simulated scenarios, etc.)
✓ Networking with STEM and medical professionals
✓ Access to CV, cold email templates from successful students
✓ A certificate of completion with excellence, certified by MedSTEMPowered 501(c)3, fiscally sponsored
✓ Exclusive opportunities to participate in our 2026 research symposium (for BOTH high school and undergraduate students)
✓ Opportunities to request a letter of recommendation at the conclusion of the program
✓ Volunteer opportunities eligible for PVSA hours
